About GreenTech Exchange
GreenTech Exchange (GTEx) is a pathfinder organization engaging solution providers with industries and investors. Launched in March 2009, GTEx aims to advance knowledge, ideas, people, products, services and solutions for the green economy. We have delivered over 100 educational forums and networking events in Vancouver and on Vancouver Island to thousands of participants. The forums and events, with timely topics and insightful speakers, engage and enable people in the community to discover their passions, cultivate interests, connect with one another, exchange ideas, collaborate on projects, and to build and grow businesses in the green innovation and clean technology space. GTEx participants span several groups including: business, entrepreneur & SME, industry, investment, service provider, government & agency, as well as academia.

Position Details
GTEx is growing and developing fresh initiatives. We are seeking two creative individuals to join our team to assist with enhancing our web presence. Please see below for specfics on each role.
1) Volunteer Social Media Assistant, GreenTech Exchange
Responsibilities:
§ Actively participate in a wide variety of social media activities such as community development, establishing a presence on our Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter channels, commenting, etc.
§ Monitor trends in social media tools and clean technology
§ Proof read blog and social media content
Desired Qualifications:
§ Passion for sustainability and clean technology
§ Experience with social media tools and techniques preferred
§ Creativity, willingness to experiment, and a sense of humor
§ Excellent written communication skills
2) Volunteer Blog Writer, GreenTech Exchange
Responsibilities:
§ Contribute monthly blog pieces to the GTEx website on topics pretaining to GTEx forums, local events, and clean technology
§ Monitor trends and news surrounding clean technology and green innovation
§ Regularly attend GTEx Monthly Forums to the best of your availability to include in blog content
Desired Qualifications:
§ Passion for sustainability, writing, and clean technology
§ Experience with blog writing styles and techniques preferred
§ Creativity and a sense of humor
§ Excellent written communication skills
§ The resources and time to produce one 500-700 word post per month
